Frequently Asked Questions

What is a wax melt?

Wax melts are scented pieces of wax without a wick that are melted to release fragrance into your home. They are placed in a wax burner and are gradually warmed to melt the wax and fill your home with the scent. Wax melts come in smaller chunks than a candle, however provide a lot more burn time overall. The wax does not evaporate, only the scent. Once the scent has burned out, you will need to change your melt.

How do I change my wax melt?

The wax that we use is a natural soy wax designed specifically for wax melts and tarts. When the wax cools in your burner, you should notice a split in the wax that will enable you to remove the wax easily. You can also pop your burner with the set wax in, into your freezer and it will pop out when you remove it. Do not move the wax burner with hot wax in.

How long will the scent last?

This can vary greatly depending on the scent, the size of the burner, and the type of burner that you use. Using an electric burner will provide a longer lasting scent as it releases more slowly. Some glass burners are more intense and burn off the oil faster, however it provides a stronger scent for a shorter period of time. On average, you will get around 12 hours burn from a melt, however this can vary and is more than likely more than this.

How much of my pot should I use?

We recommend that you use one quarter of our 2oz pots, meaning that each pot will provide 4 good sized wax melts. The amount that you use will depend on the size of your room, the type of burner that you use, and whether you prefer a stronger scent.
